by TheInsider on Feb.01, 2010, under Celebrity Gossip
"The Insider"'s stylin' Niecy Nash shared some girl talk time with the always fashion-forward Lady Gaga backstage at the Grammy Awards. Lady Gaga sported several different looks throughout the night, but her backstage ensemble was custom designed by none other than the rock star of fashion, Armani. The popstar added a Grammy to her outfit, gushing, "Good accessories, better than a purse, right?" P!nk stripped down to ribbons for her aerial performance high above the A-list crowd in the Staples Center. Afterwards, she slipped into a bit less revealing gown that made her feel "like a mermaid." She told Niecy how she prepared to fly so high: "I was a gymnast for eight years. That was the first dream. And I've just been doing it in my tours for six or seven years. I did that song 160 times." The legendary Smokey Robinson also graced the stage Sunday night for a moving tribute to Michael Jackson, relaying a "poignant" message of conservancy with "Earth Song." He was glad that Michael's two eldest children, Prince and Paris, bravely took the stage to accept the Lifetime Achievement Award on their late father's behalf. "That was beautiful because it gave the world [the chance] to see that Michael Jackson was their dad," said Smokey.

by TheInsider on Nov.10, 2009, under Celebrity Gossip
According to a new report, a judge has decided that Michael Jackson's father Joe Jackson cannot challenge the executors of the King of Pop's will or inherit the late star's assets. The Associated Press reports that Superior Court Judge Mitchell Beckloff said on Tuesday that the 81-year-old can follow through with a motion to seek a family allowance from Michael's estate -- but he cannot inherit his late son's assets because he is not named in the will. Joe Jackson also cannot challenge the executors of the will, John Branca and John McClain, says the AP. Keep checking back here for the latest.
