Sting Says NO WAY To Police Reunion

by Perez Hilton on Jul.11, 2010, under Celebrity Gossip

Sting, who recently embarked on a year-long tour in 2007 with his former bandmates, has officially closed the door on another reunion for The Police.

The 58 year-old singer explained:

"People reacted to The Police coming back as if mum and dad had got together, you could see that emotion in the audience. But who really wants to go and live with the wife you divorced? I won't do it again."

Despite his interesting divorce comparison, the tour still proved to be "an exercise in nostalgia" for Sting, leaving him with no regrets.

Nonetheless, don't expect to see Sting rejoining The Police any time soon, as he further commented, "It wasn't easy. There was nothing new in it - no new songs, no new energy, no desire to take that as a platform and move somewhere else."

Ouch, that stings.

Sending out an S.O.S.!

Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber Speak Out on Alleged Extortion Attempt

by TheInsider on Nov.12, 2009, under Celebrity Gossip

Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber are speaking out about an alleged extortion attempt. A rep for the couple told "The Insider" in a statement, "A criminal complaint was filed today in federal court in Los Angeles by the U.S. Attorney's office and the FBI stating that Rande Gerber and Cindy Crawford have been the victims of an on-going extortion scheme. This crime has been committed by Edis Kayalar, an acquaintance of a former nanny employed by the family. Mr. Kayalar threatened to sell an image taken of the couple's then-seven-year-old daughter. There was no previous awareness by Mr. Gerber and Ms. Crawford of the existence of the photograph when they were contacted by Mr. Kayalar. The photo was taken by the former nanny as part of a purported game without the knowledge of the parents. The couple reported the extortion threat to the police and the FBI began a criminal investigation in the matter. Rande Gerber and Cindy Crawford intend to pursue any and all available legal action against anyone who aids the perpetrator in the distribution or sale of the photograph of their daughter." by TheInsider on Nov.05, 2009, under Celebrity Gossip

After numerous screaming matches and heated arguments, "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" ladies Kim Zolciak and NeNe Leakes have decided to call a truce, but Nene assures the listeners of Ryan Seacrest's morning radio show that they are still not friends. "It's really not worth all my energy to bicker with her," Nene tells Ryan, saying she told her once enemy, "Let's just set all this aside and respect each other and move on." "I just somehow found my way back to her. It's crazy," Kim says of making amends with her fellow housewife. Nene says the goal of her reconciliation with Kim was to be able to walk into the same room with her and not want to "blow up." As for saying sorry to Kim after all of their spats, Nene says she doesn't find that necessary. "There was no apology because, you know, I'm the police. ... I just didn't feel like I was wrong." Kim and Nene join the other housewives on part two of Bravo's "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" reunion show Thursday night at 10/9 p.m. Central.

"The Insider" has obtained court records released Friday indicating that Mayumi Heene told the police she and her husband Richard knew their little boy Falcon, who was feared to have floated off in a balloon device, was safe at home all along. CLICK HERE to see the papers! The search warrant affidavit says Mayumi told investigators that the incident was a publicity stunt designed to enhance the family's marketability to the press. The document says she and Richard came up with the alleged ruse two weeks earlier, and the balloon device "was specifically made to carry out this hoax. ... she and Richard had instructed their three children to lie to authorities as well as the media regarding this hoax." Richard Heene's lawyer responded that "allegations are cheap" and he's yet to see the evidence, says the Associated Press. Mayumi's lawyer didn't immediately respond to messages left for him.
