According to a new report, a judge has decided that Michael Jackson's father Joe Jackson cannot challenge the executors of the King of Pop's will or inherit the late star's assets. The Associated Press reports that Superior Court Judge Mitchell Beckloff said on Tuesday that the 81-year-old can follow through with a motion to seek a family allowance from Michael's estate -- but he cannot inherit his late son's assets because he is not named in the will. Joe Jackson also cannot challenge the executors of the will, John Branca and John McClain, says the AP. Keep checking back here for the latest.

by TheInsider on Nov.09, 2009, under Celebrity Gossip
Jennifer Lopez reportedly won a court order Monday that will prevent her ex-husband from distributing a proposed movie about their time together. The Associated Press reports that Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge James C. Chalfant issued a temporary restraining order blocking distribution of the proposed film -- but it is only effective until a hearing is held on whether or not to extend the order. Update: Michael Jackson’s Children and Estate
by TheInsider on Oct.02, 2009, under Celebrity Gossip
A judge is offering his take on how Michael Jackson's children are doing after being placed in their grandmother Katherine Jackson's care. L.A. Superior Court Judge Mitchell Beckloff says he's "very pleased" with the contents of a report on the Prince, Paris and "Blanket," says the Associated Press. "It looks like the children are really doing wonderfully with their grandmother guardian," Beckloff said, adding that he sees no reason to receive further updates on the kids. On Friday the judge also gave the two individual administering Jackson's estate -- attorney John Branca and music executive John McClain -- general powers over the estate, thereby allowing them to consider creditor's claims, says the AP. The news organization said that prior to Friday, no one had the authority to accept or reject creditor's claims against the late King of Pop.

Redmond O’Neal Enters Rehab
by TheInsider on Sep.24, 2009, under Celebrity Gossip
Redmond O'Neal, the son of Ryan O'Neal and the late Farrah Fawcett, was transferred from county jail to a California drug treatment facility on Thursday, says a new report. People.com reports that the 24-year-old entered an inpatient drug rehab facility in Pasadena, Calif., where he will be treated for one year. A Los Angeles Superior Court judge said O'Neal was "doing extremely well," according to the mag. His attorney tells People: "Redmond has embraced recovery. All of his reports are extremely positive. He has taken huge steps towards his new life. This has been a very challenging time for Redmond. He lost his mother while in recovery. He loved his mother dearly and that was extremely hard on him. It would be challenging for anybody, much less a 24-year-old coming to grips with his addiction and recovery." Redmond was temporarily released from jail back in June to attend the funeral of his beloved mother, who passed away on June 25 after a battle with cancer. He is expected back in court on Sept. 30 for a hearing on his DUI arrest and probation violation from earlier this year.
