"The Insider" has obtained court papers indicating that Michael Jackson's Forest Lawn funeral expenses totaled nearly $1 million. A judge authorized the Jackson estate’s special administrators to pay for cemetery and funeral charges totaling $855,730. Michael’s burial site in the cemetery’s Holly Terrace area amounted to $590,000; miscellaneous fees totaled roughly $176,000; and an endowment care (property) fee cost $88,500. The administrators are also authorized to reimburse Janet Jackson with $49,372 -- the amount she paid of the $103,578 initial contract with Forest Lawn. The administrators are allowed to pay the remaining $54,206 balance as well. Other expenses in connection with the funeral include nearly $12,000 for invitations and programs; $16,000 for flowers; $35,000 for Jackson’s burial garments; and $30,000 for cars and security.

Michael Jackson's father is trying to obtain an allowance from the late singer's estate. "The Insider" has obtained court documents filed by an attorney for Joe Jackson in Los Angeles on Friday, in which the 81-year-old is seeking an allowance from his son's estate. The papers state that Jackson "has been without support since the death of his son…," and "is in urgent need [of] funds to maintain his household." Jackson's attorney also says in the document: "For reasons which [were] never explained, [the special administrators of Michael Jackson's estate] excluded Joseph Jackson from their petition although they knew that Michael Jackson had supported for many decades his father….” The papers also state that Joe Jackson suffered a stroke in 1998, was hospitalized in 2004 for stomach ulcers and "was dependent upon the money provided by his son, Michael Jackson, through his wife, Katherine Jackson, for his support." The AP reports that a judge has approved $26,000 in monthly payments to his mother and $60,000 monthly for the care of his children -- "Prince" Michael, Paris and "Blanket."

Katherine Jackson will be allowed to challenge the special administrators of Michael Jackson's estate, according to new court documents obtained by "The Insider." Judge Mitchell Beckloff has ruled that Michael Jackson's mother can challenge the estate's special administrators, John Branca and John McClain, without jeopardizing her position as a beneficiary in his will. The document reads in part: "The court finds that the proposed pleadings at Exhibit/Tab B and Exhibit/Tab C would not be a contest within the meaning of the Trust's no contest clause."
