You wouldn't think that an Oscar-winning film would have any trouble at the box-office. You wouldn't think, but it is so!

Summit Entertainment finds itself in quite a pickle this week as it has tried to repitch The Hurt Locker to movie theater chains for another release and no one seems to be biting. For example, Regal Theaters flat out said no, citing the problem is not the film itself, but the fact that it is already on DVD.

Understandable, but it seems to us that it is the kind of flick that is best appreciated on the big screen and with all the buzz, an extra week in theaters couldn't hurt.

This weekend, Uma Thurman's new movie Motherhood debuted to dismal reviews and even worse box office numbers. The movie only brought in a little over $131!!! On Sunday, it was reported that only ONE PERSON paid to see the flick!

Yikes!

Then again, it didn't do all that better here in the U.S. either. The DVD came out last week after it tanked at the box-office, only taking in a TOTAL of a little over $50,000 last October.

Thank whatever lucky star you want that you are in a Robert Pattinson flick now! It might just save your career!

Wayne Coyne, the frontman for The Flaming Lips, is trying to get Justin Timberlake to star in the band's new movie.

Justin famously played the bass guitar with the band during Top of the Pops back in 2003.

Coyne is looking to tap a number of celebs for their follow-up to 2008's Christmas On Mars. He explains the his wish list for the cast and how it will take considerably less time to create (as opposed to the seven years it took to make Christmas On Mars):

"I'm in the process of begging [Timberlake]. If I'm lucky I'll be able to wear him down in another year. [I want] celebrities to show up and have fun with us for a couple of nights…

"My only goal was that I didn't have to build space station-looking sets every time I wanted to have someone say something. This one is set in someone's house, a backyard and a slaughterhouse; all those are available to me right here."
