Lots More Expendables On The Way!
by Perez Hilton on Sep.03, 2010, under Celebrity Gossip

Why do we feel like we’re still going to be writing about The Expendables five years from now?
We probably feel that way because it’s clear that Sylvester Stallone is going to get every ounce of mileage out of this project as possible. Now that it is officially evolving from a movie to a franchise, he’s got all types of plans.
First on the schedule is a director’s cut of Expendables, which will be released on DVD and Blu-ray in about six months. Along with the director’s cut, Stallone has reported that he’s recently finished an audio commentary, as well as a documentary companion piece entitled Inferno: The Making of The Expendables.
He’s teased us about the documentary by referencing a story about a stunt gone awry, where Sly was brought to a hospital in Brazil, where they told him surgery would be required for a spinal cord injury to his neck. Damn, Sly…why do we suddenly see flashes of Mickey Rourke’s character in The Wrestler?
Stallone is also pumped to get going on The Expendables II. Here’s what he’s saying about the project:
"I am thinking what would be the most dangerous places in the world to set the sequel?… Had dinner with Bruce Willis… I want him in Expendables II as a super villain. What do you think?"
We’ll give it some thought, and get back to you, Sly. In the meanwhile, maybe you should also start brainstorming about The Expendables III. Instead of the most dangerous place on Earth, maybe in the threequel you can set it in the most dangerous place…in OUTER SPACE!
Are U excited for more Expendables?

Injured Transformers 3 Extra Undergoes Brain Surgery
by Perez Hilton on Sep.03, 2010, under Celebrity Gossip

The extra who was in critical condition after an injury on the set of Transformers 3 has undergone brain surgery, and is now in stable condition.
Gabriella Cedillo was involved in a scene involving multiple cars when a tow cable that was pulling the vehicle she was in snapped, whipped around, broke the windshield, and smashed her in the head.
Thankfully, emergency fire and medical personnel were on the scene and quickly attended to her before she was airlited to the nearby Loyola University Medical Center.
We’re happy she’s OK! Hopefully Mr. Michael Bay will take some extra steps to make sure this doesn’t happen again, especially now that it seems like the movie is cursed!

Tom Cruise To Do A Horror Movie?
by Perez Hilton on Sep.03, 2010, under Celebrity Gossip

Tom Cruise isn't really known for acting in horror movies. Do we really want him to start now?
Guillermo Del Toro, the man who famously bailed on The Hobbit movie, is thinking of casting Cruise as the lead in his 3-D feature film adapation of H.P. Lovecraft’s classic horror novella At The Mountains of Madness.
The drama cometh! Universal Studios, the production company backing Del Toro’s project, is interested in James McAvoy as the lead role, while Guillermo would prefer Tom Cruise.
Both actors have high profile projects on the horizon, which could make them solid, pertinent draws for this movie. Cruise will be starring in Mission: Impossible 4, while McAvoy will play a young Professor X in X-Men: First Class.
Del Toro has done some wonderful work and he’s an extremely talented filmmaker, but we’re not sure if we can take his side on this one.
Neither Cruise nor McAvoy have backgrounds in horror, but McAvoy is a young, ambitious actor who we’re just getting to know, and Tom Cruise has kind of overstayed his welcome.
Would U prefer to see Cruise or McAvoy in Del Toro’s new horror film?

Veronica Mars Will Not Give Up On Her Movie Dreams
by Perez Hilton on Sep.03, 2010, under Celebrity Gossip

It's been over three years since Veronica Mars has gone off the air and since that time, all Kristen Bell has done is champion for a big screen release.
The problem is, Warner Bros. holds the rights to the franchise and despite the constant pleading and begging from fans Kristen, they still haven't forged ahead with a movie or relinquished control of the rights.
Yesterday, Kristen decided to channel her inner Gossip Girl and blast the Internet to get some supporters. On her Twitter, she posted:
"Mars fans-can we bug @wbpictures & tell em they must do a VM film?? new tactic. bombard em w/tweets, there's evidence of fans they cant ignore.
#veronicamars fans send petitions & any obsessive behavior you have to @wbpictures & demand the film. they see no audience for it? i beg to differ."
It's so unlike a star to be the one fighting for her TV show to go to the big screen that we really hope she gets it done. Maybe it won't make a billion dollars, but when will a studio ever get this kind of dedication from an actress to a project again?
Think about that, WB!
