Brad Pitt is said to love both architecture and photography (his love of architecture is said to be part of his motivation for his housing project in New Orleans), and he is in a gorgeous city, so it makes sense that he would take some time to get some shots.
I'm sure Brad got plenty of pictures while riding through Venice in a water taxi. It looks like he tried his best to go incognito with the hood, but hey, he IS Brad Pitt. I don't think there's anywhere on the planet where he can be anonymous :)

Brad Pitt takes a solo ride on a water taxi in Venice, Italy on Wednesday (March 9) with a camera in hand.
The 46-year-old actor photographed some of the city’s architecture and took in the snowy day out on the water.
Brad and the family were spotted coming home together on Sunday (March 7) after attending a birthday party at the director of The Tourist’s home.

Keeping busy while his lady works on her new film, Brad Pitt was spotted out for a private ride on a water taxi along the canals of Venice, Italy on Tuesday (March 9).
The “Fight Club” stud continued to fulfill his neverending passion for architecture, as he braved the snowy weather to snap up shots of the beautiful city.
